I studied psychology in Bogotá and decided to migrate to develop myself personally and professionally from another place. I currently live in Barcelona where I obtained a master's degree in psychoanalysis and psychopathology from the University of Barcelona. Now I am training as a psychoanalyst at the Asociación Catalana para la Clínica and I live in Barcelona.
In the first session or rather the first sessions will be arranged to establish what will really be worked on in therapy since although you arrive with an idea of what is happening, many times this can be transformed. We will also talk about frequency, therapy style and if you are interested in starting a process with me.
My therapy is centered on the subjectivity of the person, on what he says, from the place he positions himself in this that he refers to as discomfort. In this space language is fundamental, the word and dialogue is the gateway to understanding what is happening. Helping the patient understand their desires, fears, conflicts, limitations and also their abilities, skills and creativity. It is a space that in addition to seeking to put into words everything that causes discomfort and give it a place, is to be able to investigate what's there. It is to ask questions, to return to the past, in order to enter the future. From the psychoanalytic approach, the therapist is the one who actively listens, who asks in order to understand, in order to interpret. The value of the space exists insofar as it works with the intimate aspects of life.
